Returns & exchanges
If we got it wrong, we fix it at our cost and we pay the postage both ways. If the part is right and it is not what you needed, there is a process below — four steps, and you can start it yourself.
Checkout is not open yet, so there is nothing to return today. The form below
is live and a person reads every request, but no order can exist yet. The return window and any
restocking fee are set by our distributor agreement and will be published here in full, in writing,
before the first order can be placed — so you will know them before you spend a dollar.
Start a return
Always covered, at our cost
- We sent the wrong part. Our error, our postage, both directions.
- It arrived damaged or defective. Send a photograph and we replace or refund it.
- Our listing was wrong. If our page said it fits and the manufacturer's own data says otherwise, that is on us — not on you.
Who pays the postage
It follows the reason, which is why step 2 asks for one per part rather than one per order:
- Our mistake — we pay both ways, and we refund what you originally paid for delivery as well.
- Changed your mind, ordered the wrong number, no longer needed — return postage is yours. The original delivery charge is not refunded either; that journey already happened.
How to send it back
The options depend on the weight and size of what is going back, not on the value:
- Prepaid carrier label — parcels under roughly 20 lb and under 48" combined length and girth. We email the label; you drop it at any counter.
- Freight collection — frames, complete engines, wheel and tyre assemblies, anything oversized. Collected from your address by arrangement. Never post these; they will not arrive.
- Your own carrier — any service you like, as long as it is tracked. An untracked parcel that does not arrive cannot be refunded, and that is not us being awkward: we have no way to prove it left.
Where it gets more careful
Motorcycle parts are unlike most retail — a part fitted for five minutes is usually not resaleable. So the ordinary rules will be:
- Unfitted, in original packaging, in resaleable condition.
- Electrical parts are frequently non-returnable once installed. A fitted regulator or module cannot be sold to the next rider and the manufacturer will not take it back.
- Special orders, cut-to-length items and anything made to order are typically final.
- Gaskets and seals removed from sealed packaging cannot be returned.
The better answer: do not need a return
Most returns in this trade are fitment mistakes, and most fitment mistakes are avoidable:
- Search the number stamped on the old part — straight into search, dash or no dash.
- Add your bike to My Garage and we flag what fits as you browse.
- Building something custom? Read the warning at the top of Build a bike before you order a frame or a motor.
- Still unsure? Ask us with your year and model. A person reads every message, usually the same day.
