Frequently asked questions

Straight answers, including the ones about what we cannot do yet.

Are these genuine Harley-Davidson parts?

No, and we will not let anyone believe otherwise. Every part on this site is aftermarket: made by an independent manufacturer to fit these motorcycles. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Harley-Davidson, Inc. Model names appear here for one reason — to tell you what a part fits.

How do I know a part fits my bike?

Most listings carry the model-and-year fitment rows the part was catalogued with, and the product page shows them in full. Add your bikes to My Garage and the site will flag the ones that match. Confirm before you order. Catalogue fitment data is very good and it is not infallible — a mid-year running change or a previous owner’s swap can put a bike outside what the catalogue expects. If there is any doubt, ask us with your year and model.

Can I search by the number on the old part?

Yes, and it is the fastest way in. Paste it straight into search — with or without the dash, the search normalises it either way. Searching the part number beats describing the part almost every time.

What is My Garage for?

You add the bikes you own — as many as you like, because plenty of riders have more than one — and the catalogue starts answering in terms of them instead of in the abstract. It lives in your own browser on your own device. We hold no copy of it, which also means clearing your browser data clears your garage.

Why do some parts have no photograph?

Because we would rather show nothing than show you the wrong thing. A slice of the catalogue ships with a “coming soon” placeholder image instead of the actual part; we strip those out and say plainly that there is no photograph, rather than presenting a billboard as if it were the component you are buying.

Are the prices final?

Prices shown are our current catalogue prices and can move with supplier costs. Nothing is charged to anybody today — checkout is not open yet. When it opens, the price you see at checkout is the price you pay, with shipping and any tax shown before you confirm, never after.

Can I order right now?

Not yet. The catalogue and the guides are live and free to use; the checkout is not open. We are not taking orders we cannot ship. Leave your email on the front page and you will get exactly one message from us — the one that says we are open.

What about shipping, returns and warranty?

Those get published in full, in writing, before the first order can be placed — not invented in an FAQ months ahead of time. If we posted a delivery window today it would be a guess dressed up as a policy, and you would be right to hold us to it.

Who writes the maintenance guides?

We do. They are written in-house and tied to the parts in this catalogue, so when a guide says you need a particular filter or battery it is pointing at something you can actually put your hands on. Start at the guides index.

Do the guides replace a service manual?

No. They are written to get a competent home mechanic through a job with the right parts and the right order of operations. For torque figures, clearances and anything safety critical, the factory service manual for your model is the authority. Brakes, fuel and electrical work punish guesswork.
